as adapted from A Beautiful Mess.
I recently came across A Beautiful Mess's DIY Honeycomb Shelves, and totally fell in love. I decided to give it a go and make myself some new shelves.
Here was my inspiration. I really loved they wood color they chose, I think they said it was red oak... but I'm not sure. I couldn't find any red oak when I went to Home Depot, so I just grabbed some stain and shrugged it off. (BAD IDEA! I really don't know what I was thinking. All of my furniture in my room where the shelves are located are white, and the shelves just look really weird and awkward. So I'm painting them white. I"ll post a picture of when they are really done.) Lets get off of me though, and get back to the DIY.
Luckily, my dad is rehabbing a house near mine, and he has all the power tools needed for this project! He was my assistant for the day. We followed the tutorial from ABM (first caption) almost exactly.
I was really happy at how they turned out. If only they were painted white. :)
