Hey guys! We haven't posted to the DIY section in a while! Been busy with our new favorite toy, a heat embosser, sold at Papersource. We absolutely LOVE it! We have already made numerous cards, sent to cousins, friends, and relatives. We are working on adding cards to our store when we get it running. We are also working on getting a Facebook started... but that's beside the point. Anyway, let's start this SUPER EASY bangles tutorial started, shall we?
I think every little thing needs some glitter. Glitter adds personality like no other craft item can. I was shopping at our local Five Below store, and found some cheap $5 knock-off Toms, and thought, "why not?".
I love headbands. Especially when they have knots in them, and I don't really know why. It might be a condition... So, if you are like me, and completely flip head over heels for headbands, this is the DIY for you. Here is what you will need to start your project.
I love all types of garlands. Not just Christmas ones that you hang over your front staircase, but kitschy ones that can play up any room. I had some left over paint samples from a bedroom we were recently deciding on, and decided to put them to good use.
rocks. yep they're everywhere. Walking back from the car I noticed a large pile of rocks next to the empty rental next to my house. Just siting there. With my DIY eyes I thought to myself, "how can I make these into a DIY project". ( I say this at least once daily). I remeniced to my old childhood days, and remembered me and my siblings and the neighbor kids would scourage around for rocks, and paint them. Yes out mothers were upset when they cluttered the house, (and I now understand where they're coming from, with my a-type organized house.)
First is the easiest step... gather the rocks. Try to vary in shape, color, and size as it makes the display more appealing.
