Hi everyone! I hope your holidays were as fruitful as mine! Somehow my family always knows what to get me. (the fact that I give it to them directly might have been a contributor...) This year Christmas came up super fast. Christmas Eve arrived and I didn't know what to do with myself other than to freak out. We have many traditions, including caroling, (which warms the hearts of some and annoys the others) decorating cookies, (usually Christmas Eve, because we are all so busy) and having a (not-so) Pinterest-y Christmas Party, and Christmas day.
Singing kitschy Christmas songs. In the dark. Yep, that's fun. Well the kids loved it, and it was fun to see all the (mostly) happy faces that we brought when people answered the door. Then the kids would just run off to the next house just barely before we got done singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
...and last but DEFINITELY NOT least... the classy cheese board.
I just want you to know this cheese board has my blood, sweat, and tears in here. No actually that's really gross and I can't take credit. My dad, naturally trying to help out in the kitchen for Christmas dinner, says he'll make the cheese board. So when I finished what I was preparing, I turn around to see this... and almost die. He told me that all my creativity came from him. "What'd you think, it came from your mom?". So I let him keep his most prized possession of the Christmas season, and told him I would put it on the blog. There you go dad!
The only downside was that tape was used to label... Oh well!
Happy Holidays!
